Inktober! It is so much fun! Students will be challenged to draw any of the 31 prompts. For every drawing students submit to their homeroom teacher. Students should also do an Inktober entry form to be entered into a weekly raffle to possibly win cool art supplies!
At the end of the month, after our hallways are filled with awesome drawings, select students from each grade will be chosen to receive a "grand prize' for their amazing efforts. These students will be chosen based on how often they submit entries, and how creatively they solve the word prompt drawing challenges.
FAQ:
Anyone in school - including staff and support specialists, can participate!
You can only submit ONE drawing per prompt!
Teachers must submit the entries into the spreadsheet for their class, AND then put the entries into Ms. Chapman's box in the office.
If your student wants to be considered for the weekly raffle prizes, they must submit a drawing (with their name, teacher's name, and prompt word) AND the entry form slip for the raffle.
Artwork can be submitted on the provided quarter section of paper, or any other paper (sticky notes are fine!) BUT please tell students to make sure their name is on the drawing, AND that they don't have a teeny, weensy drawing in the middle of a giant piece of paper! We need to conserve space for our black paper present boards.
You don't have to participate EVERY day - a lot of people pick their favorite words and just do a handful of quality drawings.
At the end of the month, the CLL class with the highest number of drawings wins!
Inktober is a world-wide phenomenon - so every day, you can check into social media at #inktober2025 and see what other cool interpretations of that prompt have been drawn by artists from all over the world!
