#ThankYouThursday
Thank you to our CCSD #1 school psychologists for being an invaluable support to our school community. Your work in promoting mental health and fostering a positive learning environment is truly appreciated. We want to express our sincere gratitude for the positive impact you have on our students' academic and emotional growth. Your dedication to helping students thrive is truly inspiring.

“Connecting With The Colts”
Building strong partnerships between families and our school is essential for student success. That's why we're introducing a new approach to how we connect with our students, families and community throughout the year.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Student-Led Conferences
Monthly "Connecting with the Colts"
Throughout the year, we'll offer traditional parent-teacher conferences as needed. These are great opportunities to have one-on-one conversations with your child's teachers to discuss their academic progress, behavior, and any specific concerns you may have. We can work together to create a plan that supports your student's learning and growth.
We believe that students should be at the center of their own education. To empower them, we're holding student-led conferences. During these conferences, your child will take the lead in presenting their work, explaining their learning goals, and reflecting on their progress. You and the teacher will be there to listen, ask questions, and celebrate your student's achievements. This approach helps students develop important skills like communication, accountability, and self-reflection.
Beyond formal conferences, we're dedicated to making meaningful connections with you on a regular basis. Once a month, we'll host informal events to bring our school community together. These "Connecting with the Colts" events will be a chance to meet other parents, chat with teachers and staff in a relaxed setting, and learn about what's happening at our school. During each month's “Connecting with the Colts” nights from 5:00 to 5:30 will be the monthly parent meeting in the library! We will bring informational content during this time along with having guest speakers that discuss what is offered for their students for this age frame.
Doors will be open from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm Wednesday September 17th! The “ELA Team (Department)” will not be available this month so please come visit them next month. They will be working on important pacing, instruction and research to better their approach to teaching essential standards and skills to your students. Our goal is to create a dynamic and ongoing conversation about your child's education. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming conferences and monthly events.

To the CCSD #1 Maintenance Team, we want to express our sincere gratitude for your hard work and commitment. The facilities team plays an invaluable role in our school's daily operation, and we are deeply appreciative of everything you do. Your efforts in maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of our campus are greatly appreciated. Your dedication helps create a positive and conducive learning environment for our students and staff, and we are so grateful to have you on our team!
