Tammy Partlow

STEM Teacher

My name is Tammy Partlow. I am new to Rawlins, but not to Wyoming. My husband and I now live in Saratoga after moving back from another neighboring state. We are so happy to be back in WYOMING!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the mountains. I enjoy being out in nature, hiking or riding my bike.

I love teaching, and I adore learning. This is my first year in the SMART LAB. (I taught Math for 16 years before coming to RMS.) I am so excited to be in the STEM/SMART Lab.

"Learning's different here" is the catch phrase CLS uses, and I believe it. Students are DOING as they learn. The cool hands-on projects are awesome. Here is a list of some of the activities built into the SMART Lab.

□ Mechanics and Structures

□ Computer Graphics

□ Scientific Data and Analysis

□ Digital Communications

□ Alternative and Renewable Energy

□ Robotics and Control Technology

□ Circuitry

□ Software Engineering

There is a wide range of technologies used in our lab. Students are problem-solving and working on project-based activities everyday. Google Docs are a big part of our room as well. Students build their ePortfolios and share them with me at the end of each project. It is exciting to see students NOT want to leave your room because they are so involved in their work.
