Bio

Hi!  :)  My name is Ms. Shellito.  I teach Language Arts at RMS.  This is my eighth year at RMS. Writing has always been a passion of mine--and being a teacher takes me back to when I was an elementary student in Kansas.  I loved one of my teachers and wanted to be just like her.  I still think of her from time to time and am glad to have such fond memories of her.

I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education from Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS, and taught in Otis, KS, until I moved to Rawlins.  I have three children who live here and two adult stepsons who live in Kansas and Nebraska.  My youngest daughter attends RHS as a Sophomore this year. She is interested in automotives, art, and soccer just to name a few areas.  I have 14 grandchildren and am thankful that the internet allows us to keep in contact better than we would've been able to before it came along.

I am proud of my kids and their kids, and I enjoy watching them continue to grow, learn, and change as they navigate through this journey called life.

My interests include writing, walking, biking, travelling, trying new foods, going to the movies, viewing various types of art, watching the Green Bay Packers play, going to games, watching soccer, experimenting with foods in the kitchen, and saving one of the best for last, sharing time with my grand kids.

I'm in room 402 at the middle school. Come by and see me.
